A mellow roll in me has
Left you lonely as can be as
You have noticed that my needs
Are overpowering:

The haughty covered walls
Within a length of endless halls
Have little space for you to call your
Own for flowering.

And reasons for the lack of
Any vacant chains to shackle
Any tender links you’re tacking
Are apparent,

As they each enclose a piece
Of me that wasn’t as was meant
To be and is so bonded to a fence to
Screen the talent

Of newly ventured mortals
Who’ve attempted to support
Me and been spat out of the portals
They aspired,

And so the wretched ends
Of me howl on in ill fraternity
And daub my boards with deeds
To tempt more triers.
